About This Drink
Alefarm Paraglow is a 0.5% double dry-hopped IPA brewed in Greve, Denmark, on a grain bill of barley, oats and wheat malt. The DDH process using Simcoe, Strata and Azacca loads aroma intensity without adding extra bitterness, which is the point of double dry-hopping as a technique. It pours deep hazy gold with an off-white head and a nose that opens with ripe peach, pineapple and citrus peel. Simcoe's pine resin sits underneath, grounding the tropical weight. On the palate peach and passionfruit lead, the oat malt rounds the texture to something silky, and bitterness stays soft enough that the finish avoids becoming cloying. Paraglow is worth catching fresh: DDH hop character fades with age, and the vivid tropical nose is what sets it apart from the more crowded end of the UK AF IPA field. Available in 440ml cans from Dry Drinker and The Alcohol Free Co, in packs of 6 or 12, making it a practical choice for moderators building a stock at home.
