Lager
The original lager from the Lowtide range, clean and pale, built around a simple malt-forward brief before the brewery developed more character-driven lager options.
About This Drink
Before Heaven & Helles and Forgot To Take My Pils, Lowtide Brewing Co (now Below Brew Co) had this simpler lager in the range. It represents the starting point: a clean, pale, low-alcohol lager that does the fundamentals without much flourish. There is nothing elaborate about it. Pale malt backbone, light carbonation, a gentle hop bitterness that fades quickly. It is the kind of beer that works when you want something cold and uncomplicated, without having to think about it. The brewery has since moved on to more expressive lager formats with specific hop selections and German noble hop character, making this feel like a prototype by comparison. If you encounter it, it is an early Lowtide release rather than part of the current Below Brew Co core range.
