Browar Gzub

Co-founded by Wiktor Staszewski, the brewery's story begins in 2013 with a shop selling imported beers. A homebrew sample at an Easter breakfast sparked the ambition to brew, and contract brewing in Belgium began in 2014. Browar Gzub was established on the back of five years of experience and apprenticeships at Belgian and Dutch breweries. The first Gzub beer, a Saison, reached the market in 2017.

Across the brewery's range, styles include pale ales, pils, wheat beers, IPAs, sour ales and stouts. Sour beers are produced using the kettle sour method, and bottle refermentation is used in its production process. The brewery brews using natural ingredients and its own recipes. The alcohol-free option includes a beer brewed with lime juice.

Browar Gzub's name is taken from the local subdialect of the Wielkopolska region, where "gzub" can be translated as "beer belly" or "stripling". The brewery holds membership of the Culinary Heritage network for Wielkopolska. Beer is available bottled and in kegs, supplied directly from the brewery; visitors are also welcome to tour the facility and sample beers on site.
