Clean Co Botanical began as CleanGin, the founding product in the CleanCo range when the brand launched in 2019. It was subsequently renamed Clean G, then repositioned as Clean Botanical as the range expanded around it. Spencer Matthews spent 15 months developing the recipe with the specific aim of replicating the mouthfeel and warmth of a full-strength spirit. The botanical profile is weighted towards citrus, using lemon, orange and grapefruit peel alongside juniper, angelica root, rosemary and lavender. The botanicals are distilled in copper pot stills, and the drink is designed primarily as a tonic mixer in the London Dry style. It is an alcohol-free spirit.
