Zwei-Zero Riesling
Peach, slate, and citrus in a dealcoholised German Riesling.
About This Drink
Eins Zwei Zero Zwei-Zero Riesling is an alcohol-free Riesling from Johannisberg, Germany, made by Weingut Leitz. It is dealcoholised, meaning fermented to full strength before the alcohol is removed, using vacuum distillation, where reduced pressure allows the alcohol to boil away at just 28°C, preserving the wine's character. The grapes come from young vines. On the palate, green apple, lime zest, peach, citrus, and slate come through, with a mineral base and a touch of rhubarb and red apple. The finish is dry and relatively long.
