Giesen 0% Merlot is an alcohol-free red wine from New Zealand, grown in the Hawkes Bay region. The alcohol is removed using a spinning cone, a gentle process that separates it from the wine after fermentation so the fruit character stays intact. On the nose it carries plum, cherry and a touch of soft spice. To taste it is fruit-driven, with crushed blackberry, plum and subtle toasted oak, soft tannins and a medium body.
