Gutmann Hefe Dunkle is the dark wheat entry in the Gutmann alcohol-free range, produced at Brauerei Gutmann in Titting, Bavaria. The brewery has been in continuous operation since 1707 and remains a six-generation family business. For the alcohol-free version, open fermentation is used but fresh yeast is withheld at bottling, a step taken specifically to prevent alcohol development during conditioning. Gutmann also describes the beer as naturally isotonic.
