Gutmann
Brauerei Gutmann is a wheat beer brewery in Titting, Bavaria, which has been brewing on the same site since 1707. The brewery was founded by Prince-Bishop Johann Anton I Knebel von Katzenellenbogen, and the Gutmann family took over in 1855. Since 1913, the brewery has concentrated on wheat beers and is one of the established Hefeweizen producers of the Altmühltaler region.
Gutmann draws its brewing water from a mineral-rich well on site and sources selected, regional grain from naturally and neutrally controlled cultivation. Spelt is among the grains used in the brewing process. The brewery uses open fermentation and bottle conditioning, and adds no artificial preservatives.
The brewery produces a range of wheat beer styles. Its alcohol-free wheat beers include pale and dark varieties brewed in the same Bavarian Hefeweizen tradition as the full-strength lineup, making them a fit for halal drinkers and those who prefer wheat beer without the alcohol. In 1989, Gutmann entered a cooperation with the Jura-Land producer association, connecting its production to regional agricultural suppliers. The beers are available through multiple channels.
