Heineken 0.0 is an alcohol-free lager from the Netherlands, launched in 2017 after two years of development. It is double-brewed using Heineken's proprietary A-yeast before the alcohol is removed via vacuum distillation, a process that operates at reduced pressure so the alcohol can be drawn off at cooler temperatures without stripping the beer's character. It has since been joined in Heineken's alcohol-free range by the Lemon Elderflower 0.0% and Nectarine Juniper 0.0%.
