Lagunitas IPNA is an alcohol-free IPA developed at the Lagunitas brewery in Petaluma, California, and launched in 2020. Unusually for an AF beer, it was not produced using dealcoholisation (the process of brewing at full strength and then removing the alcohol); instead, it uses the same ingredients as Lagunitas' IPA, including English crystal malt and Canadian 2-row barley. The flavour is piney and dank, smooth, with strong lemon zest, caramel, and a tea-like herbal quality. There is also a clean, fresh-cut hedge character that edges towards bell pepper. Available year round, it has been positioned as a go-to for athletes seeking an AF option.
