Lautus Chardonnay is an alcohol-free white wine from South Africa, made by de-alcoholising a finished Chardonnay, meaning the wine is fermented to full strength and then has its alcohol removed. It is given gentle oak ageing, which adds a touch of spice. Light straw in the glass, the aroma is summer fruits, fresh orange and kumquat. Those same summer fruits, orange and kumquat come through on the palate, which is generous and balanced with fresh acidity.
