Heaven vs Hell
A limited-edition two-beer pack: a lightly kettle-soured orange and thyme ale ("Heavenly") alongside a jalapeño lager with fire-roasted warmth ("Hellish").
About This Drink
Heaven vs Hell is a seasonal two-beer release built around contrast. On one side sits Heavenly, an orange and thyme kettle sour: Crystal wheat and Caragold malts give it a warm amber colour, Cashmere, Citra, and Simcoe hops bring fruit and balance, and orange thyme softens the sourness rather than amplifying it. It lands citrus-forward with a punchy but not aggressive acidity — fruit and tang rather than sharp lactic bite. On the other side is Hellish, a jalapeño lager. Munich and Cara malts keep the base grainy and bready, Dana hops add a floral note, and the fire-roasted jalapeños bring warmth without hitting you over the head with heat. The spice builds slowly through the palate and lingers into the finish with a gentle glow. Dreamed up after Nirvana put out a call for customer suggestions and received over 400 responses, this is a seasonal limited release and periodically sells out. The two beers work as a pair, but they're very much their own thing.
