Nirvana Brewery Helles is a Bavarian Helles style alcohol-free lager brewed in the east end of London, made with health conscious drinkers in mind. Light golden in the glass, it has fair carbonation and a fair-sized white head. The nose carries malt sweetness and soft cereal aromas, with a slight biscuit aroma reminiscent of a fig roll and a whiff of hoppy lemon. On the palate, sweet grain malt opens first, joined by fresh bread, light honey, apple and elderflower, and a biscuit backbone. A touch of floral also comes through. There is no real bitterness, and the drink ends on a clean, dry finish.
