Lemon Gose
A 0.5% alcohol-free take on the German Gose style: tart wheat beer with toasted coriander, dried lemon peel, Persian limes, and Maldon sea salt.
About This Drink
Lemon Gose draws on a traditional Northern German wheat beer style built around tartness and salinity. Nirvana's version sticks to the rules: toasted coriander seeds, dried lemon peel, and whole dried Persian limes go into the brew, with Maldon sea salt flakes added to balance the citrus tartness rather than push it further. The result is a genuinely interesting beer for the style. The salt does the job it's supposed to — it rounds out the tart edges and gives the lemon character a clean, moreish quality. The Persian limes add something subtler than plain citrus, a dried-fruit depth that sits underneath. On the nose there's fresh lemon, coriander, and a soft briny note. Brewed as a limited-edition seasonal release and originally launched with 10% of sales going to humanitarian aid in Ukraine. The bottle design reflects that — blue and yellow throughout. Worth picking up if you see it in stock.
