Organic Pale Ale
A 0.5% certified organic pale ale using First Gold hops and British organic malts, with spice, tangerine, and a gentle toffee finish.
About This Drink
Organic Pale Ale is Nirvana's first certified organic beer, using First Gold hops — a British variety with an earthy, herbal backbone and hints of citrus — alongside British organic malted barley. The organic certification means the ingredients meet a specific agricultural standard, though in the glass the difference is less about ideology and more about a noticeably clean, unfussy character. It pours pale gold and crystal clear. The aroma is mild: fresh hops, subtle mango and citrus, nothing particularly loud. On the palate there's a light caramel malt base with citrus rising to tangerine, some gentle spice from the hops, and enough bitterness to keep it from being sweet. The mouthfeel is lighter than most of the Nirvana range — extraordinarily so, one reviewer noted. The finish is short and toffee-soft. At 0.5% it's a well-made, easy-drinking pale. If you want bold hop character, the Hoppy Pale Ale or West Coast IPA are better bets. But if clean and crisp is the goal, this delivers it.
