First Light
Named after a Long Island Sound lighthouse, a gin-inspired AF spirit with habanero warmth.
About This Drink
New London Light's First Light is an alcohol-free spirit from Salcombe, Devon, following gin making principles. The name comes from a lighthouse at the entrance to Long Island Sound. The production starts by distilling three botanicals, Macedonian juniper berries among them, then blends in 15 more. The nose carries orange citrus and cardamom, with herbaceous rosemary and sage. On the palate, a warming balance of juniper and ginger meets habanero heat, with bitterness from sage and cascarilla bark. The finish is long and smooth, opening with sweet orange and star anise, drawn out by floral coriander and lemongrass.
