Waitrose Alcohol Free Cabernet Sauvignon is a red wine alternative built on de-alcoholised wine made from Spanish Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. The base wine is de-alcoholised by low-temperature vacuum distillation, meaning it is made at full strength and the alcohol is then drawn off gently under reduced pressure, so the fruit survives the process. It is an aromatised drink, with flavourings added back to the de-alcoholised base. To taste it carries raspberry, strawberry and dark plum. The wine is produced in Germany.
