Waitrose
Waitrose's own-label alcohol-free wine range arrived in late 2025, positioning the retailer alongside Marks & Spencer and Sainsbury's in offering a credible supermarket house-brand alternative to the specialist AF wine labels.
The four bottles cover the obvious bases: a Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sparkling Chardonnay, and a Rosé. All are sourced from Spanish grapes and de-alcoholised using low-temperature vacuum distillation, a process that removes alcohol while aiming to preserve the aromatic character of the original wine. Spanish viticulture is well-suited to this approach; the warm, reliable climate produces grapes with enough concentration to survive the stripping process with some flavour intact.
At around £6 a bottle, these sit at the accessible end of AF wine pricing. You won't find the complexity of dedicated AF wine producers here, but that's not the point. This is a convenience-first range aimed at Waitrose shoppers who want something familiar and presentable for a weeknight dinner or a mixed gathering, without the cost or commitment of a specialist purchase.
Available exclusively in Waitrose stores and online.
