Waitrose Alcohol-Free Sauvignon Blanc is part of the retailer's own-label dealcoholised wine range, developed to provide an accessible entry point in the growing non-alcoholic white wine category. The base wine uses Sauvignon Blanc grapes from Spain, with dealcoholisation and bottling handled by Reh Kendermann, a German winery with specialist facilities for low and no-alcohol production. Carbon dioxide is added during the process to restore mouthfeel and help carry aromatic character that would otherwise be diminished during dealcoholisation.
