Dawn Wall
A hazy collab with Weekend Project, hopped with Mosaic Cryo and Dolcita — expect berries, candied peach, and a dank edge that earns the 'hazy' label.
About This Drink
Weekend Project are one of the UK's most respected names in hazy beer, so when We Can Be Friends brought them in for this one, the expectations were high. Dawn Wall is the follow-up to their earlier collab, False Summit, and it doubles down on the hop-forward approach that made that beer work. Mosaic Cryo is the backbone — it's a concentrated form of one of the most reliably crowd-pleasing hops in modern brewing, delivering the combination of blueberry, tropical fruit, and floral earthiness that's made Mosaic a staple. Dolcita is newer and less well-known: a low-alpha variety from the Pacific Northwest that brings stone fruit and a slightly herbal, almost candy-sweet quality. Together, they produce something with distinct personality — berries, peach, a dank and resinous undertow that keeps it from being saccharine. As with everything We Can Be Friends releases, this is positioned as a serious attempt at a style rather than an approximation of one. The haze is structural, not cosmetic. At 0.5% it's technically low-alcohol rather than zero, which generally means better mouthfeel — the usual complaint with AF hazy beers is that they feel thin against what the aroma promises. Worth seeking out for hop-heads who've written off AF IPA.
