Weihenstephaner has brewed on the Weihenstephan Hill in Freising since 1040, one of the longest-running brewing sites in the world. The Non-alcoholic Original Helles is the lager entry in the brewery's small alcohol-free range and is brewed to a full original gravity of 11.6 degrees before the alcohol is removed. At 20 IBU, bitterness is restrained for the style, sitting at the milder end of the helles spectrum. As an alcohol-free beer, the Helles retains the full malt base developed during fermentation before dealcoholisation.
