Zeronimo Leonis Blend is an alcohol-free red wine from the Neckenmarkter Hochberg vineyard in Central Burgenland, Austria, based on the 'In Signo Leonis' wine blend. Predominantly Blaufränkisch at 60% in a three-grape blend, it spent two years in new French oak before dealcoholisation. The alcohol was removed by vacuum distillation, meaning the wine is heated under low pressure so the alcohol evaporates without damaging the remaining character. A patented aroma recovery process then returns the aromas extracted during that step. Dry and old-world in style, it has dark berry fruits, wood, and forest floor on the palate. The nose brings secondary aromas of dark cherry and fig leaf.
