Kahol Spirits

The full collection launched in March 2024. The range spans 0% whiskies in multiple regional styles, rums in both Caribbean spiced and aged styles, a gin, and a tequila. Completing the lineup is a limited-edition Italian aperitivo, positioned as a departure from the core spirit range. The breadth across categories, from a brand only a few years old, is wider than most established entries in the AF spirits space.

Kahol's production approach sets it apart from most alcohol-free spirit brands. Rather than distilling or brewing from scratch, Kahol starts with full-strength spirits and applies an enzymatic process to reduce the ABV to 0%. Enzymatic denaturing works by introducing biological agents that break down the ethanol molecules in a finished spirit, a different route to zero alcohol from the membrane-based filtration or vacuum-distillation methods used elsewhere in the category. After alcohol removal, the liquid goes through barrel ageing and is finished with a proprietary botanical extract blend, developed over several years to restore mouthfeel and depth. The botanical blend targets the warmth and body that alcohol normally provides, which is the hardest quality to replicate convincingly in AF spirits.

Kahol targets the moderator rather than the full abstainer: people who want to participate in the social dimension of drinking occasions without consuming alcohol, and for whom the sensory experience needs to hold up across a full evening. The range is broad enough to cover whichever spirit category a drinker would normally reach for. Distribution runs direct through the Kahol website and via EeBriaTrade for trade buyers. The brand is not yet in mainstream supermarkets, keeping it within premium specialist and trade channels.
