Nomora

The brand was built as an alcohol-free producer from the outset, launched from a conviction rather than as a response to a passing trend. It grew from conversations between Repetto and friends and clients, and its stated mission is to explore and offer alcohol-free wines. Nomora is based in Alba, in the Piedmont region of Italy, and sources its Pinot Blanc and Sylvaner grapes from vineyards farmed using sustainable, organic practices.

Winemaking begins with stainless steel fermentation before the alcohol is removed using an osmotic membrane process. In this technique, the fermented wine is passed through a semi-permeable membrane that selectively draws out the alcohol while leaving the wine's other compounds largely in place. The finished wines contain only the base wine itself and a small amount of concentrated must sourced from that same base, along with a minimal addition of sulfites. No other ingredients are introduced.

The portfolio covers both sparkling and still alcohol-free wines, and two of the brand's drinks have picked up awards. Nomora positions its wines as well suited to consumption before or after physical activity. As a young company, it describes itself as committed to continuous innovation and improvement across its range.
