Ollenaut
Ollenaut is an Estonian craft brewery that produces alcohol-free beers alongside its alcoholic range, founded in 2013 with a name that translates to 'beer explorer'. The brewery was co-founded by Urmas Roots and Ilmar Räni and is located in Tänassilma küla in Harju County, Estonia. Its first beers reached shelves by November 2013.
The brewery specialises in top-fermented ales, a method where yeast works at warmer temperatures and rises during fermentation, and draws on local raw materials. Ollenaut applies exactly the same brewing method to its alcohol-free beers as to its alcoholic ones, using a 'new age' yeast developed specifically for alcohol-free brewing.
The alcohol-free lineup spans pale ales, lagers, smoked porters and imperial stouts, with styles running from lighter, sessionable options through to heavier, more intense brews at the darker end of the spectrum. The range gives sober-curious drinkers a broad selection across the main beer categories without the alcohol.
