Vinada
Vinada is a Dutch alcohol-free wine brand founded in The Hague in 2018, now sold in more than 30 countries. The brand was started by Jessica van Spaendonck - van der Kist, whose health prevented her from drinking alcohol and who searched out winegrowers in Spain and France capable of producing a genuinely good alternative. Vinada is a female-founded and woman-owned business.
The wines are made using traditional winemaking methods before being dealcoholised by vacuum extraction, a technique in which the alcohol is drawn off under reduced pressure. The resulting wines contain small traces of alcohol, around 0.1% to 0.2%, and contain sulphites as is standard in conventionally produced wines. The grapes come from two European wine-growing regions: Chardonnay from the Languedoc in France and Tempranillo from La Mancha in Spain. The range spans sparkling wines, whites, rosés, and fruit-based drinks, and two drinks in the range have picked up awards.
Vinada positions its wines for people who cannot, should not, or prefer not to drink alcohol. The brand frames them around celebratory moments: a new job, a birthday, a pregnancy, or simply the pleasure of a sunny afternoon. With a presence in more than 30 countries, Vinada aims to become the leading alcohol-free wine brand worldwide.
