About This Drink
Where the standard A. Le Coq Long Grapefruit uses fermented apple juice as its base, the G:N version swaps that out for grapefruit wine, which gives it a fractionally richer body and a more rounded citrus quality. It's a small difference in the glass but a different experience if you're comparing the two side by side. Clear pale gold with active bubbles. The nose is fresh grapefruit with a slightly winey, rounded citrus note underneath. On the palate, sweetness leads over bitterness, grapefruit flavour carrying through to a clean finish. At 36 kcal per 100ml and 8.4g sugar, it sits a little higher than the standard version on both counts. The ingredients list includes sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate as preservatives, worth knowing if that matters to you. Serve cold over ice.
