The Raspberry variant keeps the Unchained IPA recipe intact: pale ale and dextrin malts, Galaxy and Citra hops, under 0.5% ABV. Raspberry is added in quantity rather than as a flavour hint, making this a fruit-hop hybrid rather than a subtly flavoured beer. Unfiltered and pasteurised. It pours amber with a pink-tinged hue. Fresh raspberry dominates the aroma upfront, with mango and tropical citrus from the hops sitting just beneath. On the palate the two components work together; the berry sweetness and the hop bitterness offset each other rather than competing. Neither completely dominates. The finish is clean, with raspberry carrying through alongside a residual citrus note. Lively carbonation and medium-light body. The sweetness makes it more approachable than the straight Unchained while keeping enough structure to be interesting.
