About This Drink
Ohana is a collaboration between Lowtide (now Below Brew Co) and London's Exale Brewery, double dry-hopped with BRU-1 and Sabro hops. Those two varieties are an interesting pairing: Sabro is known for its coconut and tropical stone fruit character, while BRU-1 pushes harder into pineapple and citrus territory. Actual pineapple and lemongrass go in alongside them, which layers sweetness and a grassy aromatic quality into the aroma without contributing discernible sugar. It pours pale golden and slightly hazy. The nose is immediately tropical: mango, pineapple, citrus zest and a coconut hint from the Sabro, with the lemongrass adding a clean, grassy lift underneath. The palate is juicy and soft, with hop bitterness kept low so the fruit character sits in front throughout. The malt base is light and unassuming. At 18 kcal per 100ml it's a low-calorie option that doesn't compromise on aroma. Full fermentation followed by natural de-alcoholisation. No added sugar. Suitable for a plant-based diet.
