Left Handed Giant make their own Sicilian lemonade in-house, which gives this radler a more considered flavour than the average beer-plus-concentrate blend. The base is a pale ale, delicately dry hopped, which brings a background hop presence that keeps the drink from reading as simply lemonade in a can. The lemon character is assertive and bright, zesty rather than sweet - the citrus sits up front, with the pale ale providing structure underneath. It's a well-judged balance: enough sweetness to drink easily, enough hop and malt to remind you it's a beer hybrid. The carbonation is lively. Not gluten free - it contains barley, oats and wheat. Vegan. Available in 440ml cans through LHG directly and specialist retailers. A good option if you want something more interesting than a straight AF lager in summer conditions.
