Cuvée Révolutionnaire Rosé

A 0.0% rosé from Moderato's premium Révolutionnaire tier, blending Gros Maseng and Merlot from Gascony with the alcohol removed via low-temperature vacuum distillation.

About This Drink

Moderato's Cuvée Révolutionnaire Rosé comes from Gascony, using two grape varieties that are not the most obvious partners: Gros Maseng is an aromatic white variety grown in the south-west, while Merlot brings the red-fruit character and colour you expect from a rosé. Blended and dealcoholised by vacuum distillation at low temperature, the aim is to keep the aromatic complexity of both varieties intact. At 11 kcal per 100ml and 2.7g of sugar, it is very light. In the glass it is pale pink. The nose is fresh and fruity, with red berry and a gentle floral note from the Gros Maseng. On the palate it is well-balanced — not too sweet, not too austere — with bright acidity that gives it life without sharpness. It sits above the Cuvée Originale Rosé in the range, though the difference is in the grape blend and terroir rather than any dramatic jump in style. A clean, honest non-alcoholic rosé that does not overclaim.
