Dream Line Forms One SKGN
Northern Monk's 0.3% AF hazy IPA, a reimagining of the SKGN collaboration Dream Line, built to replicate the outcome of the original brew rather than simply copy it.
About This Drink
Dream Line Forms One SKGN started as a Patrons Project collaboration between Northern Monk and SKGN, an acclaimed hop-forward IPA that became something of an archived favourite. The AF version doesn't try to dilute the original — it works from the target outcome and builds toward it, using a hop-forward recipe designed specifically for alcohol-free production at 0.3% ABV. The pour is hazy, as you'd expect. The nose is punchy and tropical: mango, peach, and citrus zest with a layer of soft hop oils. It's more expressive than many 0.5% hazies, which is partly down to Northern Monk's AF brewing approach. The grain bill uses malted barley and oats, giving it fullness and a rounded, smooth texture in the glass. On the palate, the hop character stays front and centre — juicy tropical fruit, a thread of citrus pith, and a soft bitterness that rounds things off without sharpness. At 15 IBU and 10 EBC, the bitterness is measured. The finish is clean and fades with a residual tropical note. Available in 440ml cans, it's one of the more interesting limited AF releases from a brewery that takes non-alcoholic brewing seriously.
