About This Drink
Coffee Draught is a collab between BERO and happy Coffee, the slow-roast coffee brand co-founded by Robert Downey Jr. The concept is straightforward: take BERO's NA stout base, add coffee, nitrogen-infuse it for draught texture, and release it as a limited edition. Available direct from berobrewing.com and, in the US, at Target. The coffee comes through from the first sip. Roasted and slightly bitter, with dark cocoa and faint caramel behind it. The nitrogen gives it a genuinely creamy, draught-like mouthfeel that suits the style well. At 34 IBU there is a modest bitterness running underneath, but this reads more as coffee beer than stout-with-coffee-added. Some drinkers find the integration a little uneven, the coffee sitting on top rather than woven through; others consider that precisely what they wanted. At 0.36% ABV it is technically low-alcohol rather than fully alcohol-free, and the calorie count at 24 per 100ml sits roughly in line with BERO's other beers. Limited-edition status means availability varies, so worth picking up if you spot it.
