Fierce built their reputation on bold, hop-forward beers, and Fancy Juice is one of their flagship IPAs. The 0.5% version attempts to carry that identity without the alcohol, using the same hop selection and a purpose-constructed malt bill to get there. It pours hazy pale gold with a soft white head. The aroma is all zesty, tropical hop — light mango and citrus pith — with a biscuity grain backing. On the palate it's medium-bodied for the style, more substantial than many AF IPAs, with bittersweet hop flavour and a faint stone-fruit sweetness from the oats. The finish is short but dry, the bitterness fading cleanly rather than lingering. It's a reasonable attempt at carrying the Fancy Juice character across, though some of the brightness and hop punch inevitably gets lost. Gluten-free and vegan.
