McGuigan Zero Red Blend is an alcohol-free wine from South Eastern Australia, made using the same spinning cone technology that defines the broader Zero range. The process removes alcohol at low temperatures, preserving the aromatic character of the grapes. At under 0.05% ABV, it sits well below the threshold of most ripe fruit. In the glass, the nose opens with dark plum and blackcurrant, layered with hints of mocha and a light dusting of spice. The palate follows with generous fruit, sweet and rounded, before cocoa notes appear mid-palate. Tannins are present but soft, lending some structure to what is otherwise a fruit-forward pour. Works well alongside red meat and pasta dishes, or on its own at room temperature. Note that unlike the rest of the McGuigan Zero range, the Red Blend is not suitable for vegans.
