Dry Hop Ice Tea
A craft soda built on Chinese green tea and dry-hopped with Mosaic. Sits somewhere between an iced tea and a non-alcoholic beer.
About This Drink
Dry Hop Ice Tea is a soft drink, not a beer, but it comes from a hop-obsessed brewery and that shows. Chinese green tea forms the base, then Mosaic hops are added after brewing in the same dry-hop process the Vandestreek team uses across their beer range. The result carries a distinctly hoppy character: tropical fruit and citrus from the Mosaic sitting against the clean, grassy notes of the tea. The ingredient list is minimal: water, sugar, tea, hops, citric acid. No malt, no grain. It's lighter in body than any of the beers, pale and transparent in the glass. The carbonation is gentle. The finish is clean with a touch of citric tartness. It's an unusual product in the range, and the crossover between tea and hop aromatics works more naturally than it sounds on paper.
