BezalkØ IPA
An alcohol-free IPA from this Polish craft brewery, built on Galaxy, Motueka, Mosaic, and Citra hops with a hazy gold pour and genuine bitterness.
About This Drink
Trzech Kumpli is a craft brewery from Tarnów in southern Poland, and the BezalkØ IPA was their first alcohol-free release, arriving in August 2020 as part of their Unplugged series. The brief was simple: stay true to the IPA style rather than gesturing at it. The hop lineup does most of the work. Galaxy and Motueka bring mango and lychee upfront; Mosaic and Citra push it into orange peel and pine resin territory. The grain bill includes rye malt, oat flakes, wheat malt, and barley malt, so there's enough substance underneath to support all that hop character without things feeling thin. At 30 IBUs it has a proper dry, bitter finish. It pours hazy gold with a white head and sits at under 0.5% ABV. For a sub-0.5% beer, the body is notably full. This is one of the more convincing alcohol-free IPAs around.
