Ole
A non-alcoholic Spanish Gose brewed with peach puree, orange, lemon, apple and Himalayan salt. Fruit-driven, lactic, and mouth-wateringly tart.
About This Drink
Ole is Browar Nepomucen's non-alcoholic Spanish Gose, a style that layers fruit sourness and salt over a light wheat malt base. The ingredient list runs to peach puree, fresh orange, lemon, concentrated apple juice and Himalayan salt. It is one of the fruitier beers in their AF range. In the glass, sun-yellow to gold with a slight haze. Peach dominates the nose, with orange peel and a clean lactic sourness behind it. On the palate, citrus opens things up, then Lactobacillus acidity takes hold mid-palate, sharp and mouth-watering. The Himalayan salt does real work here, lifting everything and making you want another sip. Apple juice adds softness in the background. Bitterness is minimal; fruit and sourness are the point. Light malt backbone, vibrant carbonation. A well-constructed sour with a lot going on.
