Isotonic Beer
A non-alcoholic oat cream IPA brewed with specialty coffee, Himalayan salt and Sabro, Talus and Columbus hops. A collaboration with KawePale coffee roastery, built as a post-workout drink.
About This Drink
Isotonic Beer is a collaboration between Browar Nepomucen and KawePale, a Polish specialty coffee roastery. The concept is a non-alcoholic oat cream IPA designed for recovery: low carbonation, Himalayan salt for mineral balance, and real coffee for caffeine. Sabro, Talus and Columbus provide the hop character. In the glass, hazy pale amber with minimal head. The aroma blends roasted coffee with tropical coconut and citrus from the Sabro, a combination that reads as neither purely a beer nor a cold brew. On the palate, coffee drives the flavour, with coconut and orange zest from the hops woven through. Oats give the body a creaminess that rounds out the bitterness. The salt is subtle but lifts the whole profile. Whether the isotonic angle holds up to scrutiny is another matter, but as a coffee-forward NA beer it is well executed.
