About This Drink
Eins Zwei Zero Blanc de Blancs is a dealcoholised white wine from the Leitz estate, blending Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc sourced from the Pfalz and Baden regions of Germany. The grapes are fully fermented before alcohol is removed via vacuum distillation at low temperatures, a process that preserves the wine's aromatic character. In the glass it pours a clear, pale straw. The nose is light and fruit-forward: ripe pear, pineapple, and a hint of peach undercut with fresh citrus. On the palate the fruit carries through cleanly, with a subtle tropical softness and light acidity. The body is lean and the finish dry. A good aperitif chilled to around 8-10°C, or alongside lighter dishes: fish, soft cheeses, or salads.
