Giffard Gold Cane is an alcohol-free white rum alternative made at Giffard & Cie in Avrillé, France. Built on a cane sugar base, it is designed as a cocktail spirit: the foundation for Daiquiris, Mojitos and Piña Coladas. The aroma carries sugar cane, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and oak. On the palate it is warming and full of spice, with a touch of smokiness, then sweet with winter quince and black pepper. Once opened, it keeps for five months, stored in a cool, dark place without refrigeration.
