Blanc de Blancs
Sparkling alcohol-free wine from Chardonnay and Colombard, with apple and brioche
About This Drink
Jörg Geiger's Blanc de Blancs is an alcohol-free sparkling wine made in Germany from Chardonnay and Colombard grapes. It is dealcoholised, meaning the wine is made at full strength and then has its alcohol taken back out, here through vacuum distillation, which lifts the alcohol off at low temperature so the flavour survives. The result is an award-winning sparkling drink with a taste of apple, lemon, brioche and caramel, edged with fine acidity and white flowers.
