About This Drink
Lindemans has been making Kriek since 1979 and this is their attempt to bring that tradition into the no-alcohol space. The brewery claims to be the first lambic producer to release a 0.0% Kriek, which counts for something. The process involves an advanced dealcoholisation technique applied to a lambic-style base, then blended with 25% sour cherry juice. In the glass it pours a bright, effervescent red with a pink tinge to the foam. The cherry is upfront and genuine — properly tart sour cherry rather than the sickly sweet cherry cordial you get from lesser fruit beers. There's a faint almond note in the background that anchors it. The sweetness is present but kept in check by the acidity. It picked up gold at the 2025 World Beer Awards for its trouble. It's a 25cl bottle, which suits the format — this is something to savour with food rather than sink from a pint glass. Available through specialist AF retailers and increasingly appearing in UK supermarkets.
