The base is Darjeeling tea sourced from the foothills of the Himalayas, cold-brewed for up to 15 hours to extract delicate flavour without bitterness, an unusually long steeping time compared to conventional brewing. Jasmine tea and a touch of lemon juice are added for floral notes and acidity respectively. M&S positions the drink as an alcohol-free alternative to Champagne or Prosecco, particularly suited to food pairing. The Frizzantea Brut sits alongside sparkling rosé and white variants in the Frizzantea sub-range.
