The Frizzantea Sparkling Rosé is the same fermented Darjeeling tea concept as the Frizzantea range, presented here as a still-rosé-format listing. Black carrot concentrate gives it its pink hue and adds a subtle earthy depth; tannin is a listed ingredient, giving it more structure than a fruit drink would normally carry. Red berry character — blackcurrant and raspberry — comes through from the fermentation process, alongside a vanilla note that's in the background rather than dominating. At 0.5% ABV, it's low-alcohol in technical terms, and confirmed vegan-friendly. The Frizzantea range is one of the more genuinely novel things in the M&S AF range. Sparkling tea sits in its own category — neither wine nor beer nor soft drink — and the fermented character gives it a complexity that most alternative fizzes simply don't have.
