Chavin Zéro Pinot Noir

Dealcoholised French red from 100% Pinot Noir, aged on lees in oak.

About This Drink

Pierre Chavin's award-winning Chavin Zéro Pinot Noir is an alcohol-free red wine from Hérault in the Occitanie region of southern France, the first de-alcoholized Vin de France the producer released under its Chavin Zéro label. It is made entirely from Pinot Noir grapes and dealcoholised, meaning the wine is fermented at full strength before its alcohol is removed. After fermentation it spends a long time aging on lees, the spent yeast left behind, and is then aged in French wood. It is ruby red in the glass, with an aroma of cherry and licorice. To taste it carries cherry and raspberry alongside sweet pepper, cinnamon and light coffee, with a flexible, balanced texture and fine tannins.
