Hopwater is a simple enough concept: sparkling water infused with hops, nothing else. Siren's Citra version contains water, Citra hops, and citric acid. That's it. No malt, no yeast, no fermentation. The result is fizzy water that smells and tastes of hops rather than a conventional beer substitute. Citra is probably the most instantly recognisable hop in modern craft brewing. Its citrus and tropical fruit character — grapefruit, lime, passion fruit — comes through cleanly without a malt backbone muddying things. Siren describe it as having a "clean, grassy and dare we say it — dank — aroma", which is fair. IPA drinkers will clock it immediately. Zero alcohol, zero calories, zero sugar. Confirmed vegan and gluten free. It works well as a sessionable soft option when you want something with more character than sparkling water but less commitment than an AF beer.
