Spritz Elderflower White
Dealcoholised Chardonnay meets elderflower in this canned spritz — closer to a wine alternative than a mocktail, with a dry, wine-like finish.
About This Drink
The Duchess Spritz Elderflower White came out of the brand's expansion beyond gin and tonic, launched around 2020 as a two-variant wine spritzer range. The base here is dealcoholised Chardonnay, which gives it more complexity and a wine-like tang that distinguishes it from elderflower soft drinks or cordial-based spritzers. That's the appeal and the distinguishing feature — it's trying to sit closer to a glass of white wine than to a flavoured sparkling water. The elderflower is present but not overpowering. The overall character is crisp, lightly floral, and dry rather than sweet. At 14 calories and 2.1g sugar per 100ml it's genuinely low-calorie, which fits the kind of occasions you'd reach for it — warm evening, something that looks like a wine glass, doesn't want to be a soft drink. There's a subtle acidity from the dealcoholised wine that most elderflower drinks don't have, which makes it a more credible wine alternative than many. Available in cans, widely stocked at AF specialist retailers.
