A 0.5% international pale ale from WellBeing Brewing, triple-hopped with West Coast varieties for a crisp, citrus-forward bitterness with mango and pineapple aromatics.
About This Drink
WellBeing position Going Places as a beer for the curious and the restless — the name does the travel marketing for them. The beer itself is a pale, clear IPA with a blend of three West Coast hops that bring citrus, mango, and pineapple to both nose and palate. At 25 IBU it is noticeably more bitter than the Intentional IPA, sitting closer to a classic pale ale in bitterness intensity. It pours gold and clear rather than hazy, which signals a more traditional West Coast approach than the juice-bomb school of IPA. The body is light and the carbonation moderate, giving it a crisp, sessionable quality. Reviews note floral and earthy hop notes alongside the fruit, which keeps it from feeling one-dimensional. At 0.5% ABV it sits at the upper edge of what qualifies as alcohol-free in most markets. Vegan and lactose-free, unlike the Intentional IPA.
