Siren Craft Brew
Siren Craft Brew is a Berkshire-based independent brewery founded in 2013 by Darron Anley in Finchampstead, with an alcohol-free range spanning IPAs, stouts, and sparkling hopwaters.
Anley named the brewery after the sirens of Greek mythology, framing the brand's purpose as drawing drinkers into the world of craft beer through adventurous, hop-forward recipes. Siren has remained founder-led and independent since its founding, operating from its original Finchampstead site. The brewery built its reputation on a rotating seasonal programme and experimental use of ingredients, and that approach carries through into its AF output.
The AF range arrived in earnest in early 2024, when Siren launched an AF version of its flagship IPA, a beer central to the brand's identity since its early years. The line has since expanded to include a nitro-canned stout and sparkling hopwaters. The nitro stout uses nitrogen gas to produce the smooth, creamy texture associated with the style, replicating the draught-tap experience in a can. The sparkling hopwaters are a different proposition: zero-calorie, zero-sugar infusions built around single hop varieties rather than conventional beer formats, with none of the fermentation character of a conventional beer. These sit closer to a functional sparkling drink than a traditional pint, broadening the range's appeal for fitness-focused drinkers who want hop character without the calorie load of beer.
Distribution is multi-channel: direct-to-consumer through the brand's webshop, a taproom at the Finchampstead brewery, and availability through specialist alcohol-free retailers. The AF range sits in the premium bracket, consistent with Siren's broader positioning.
